This project is linked to a blog (http://crochetedcomfort.blogspot.com/) with directions about how to pass the scarf you received forward to someone who needs it. The blog has the follow description and directions:

"We all need comfort sometimes. As humans we desire connections and relationships with others. This project is to remind people that the world is a beautiful place if you believe it to be. Each scarf is handmade and contains a message that only the wearer can see. You received this scarf for a reason and now it is your turn to pass it on to someone else who needs it. Keep it until you're ready, you'll know when the time is right."

"When the time is right, you'll find someone who will be in need of the scarf and it'll be your turn to pass it on. Print out the Reason Card, fill it out and send it along with the scarf when you choose to do so."

If you receive the scarf and post a photo on Instagram using the hashtag #crochetedcomfort with your public profile, your post will automatically be uploaded to the blog through the service If This Than That.
